MyBlogLog, MonsterID and Identicon Support Added to Avatar Widget

The avatar widget hosted at WidgetBox just got a major upgrade. Three more avatar services are now supported: the popular MyBlogLog, MonsterID and Identicon.

Introducing the Avatar Widget

WidgetBox is hosting our new Avatar widget. This widget allows you display the avatar of you or someone you know simply by configuring the widget with an email address. Only Gravatar’s avatars are supported now, but other types of avatars will be available soon…

Before You “Get Widget”

  • If you’re making an Avatar widget for yourself but you aren’t signed-up for a Gravatar, head on over to the Gravatar site now and sign up with your email address.

Features

  • Only a user’s email is required to display the avatar (only Gravatar avatars are supported currently).
  • The Avatar widget can be configured with or without a caption above or below the avatar image.
  • The size of the avatar can be up to 80 pixels wide.
  • 100% White Label: no advertising or logos
